A Sri Lankan, born in 1929, also known as a Burgher - equivalent to an Anglo Indian, except that his European antecedents came from Riga in Latvia!

Rex has been a resident of the UK since 1958.    He has had a formal training in Oil Painting, Academic style, his forte being in Portraiture and wild life.

Having had his cartoons published in many National newspapers and magazines, here and abroad, he has been a member of  the Cartoonists’ Club of Great Britain since 1992 and also a member of FECO (Federation of Cartoonist Organisations).

Rex says all art interests him, whether modern or conventional, and enjoys painting in most media and any subject.
