Elizabeth Mosby, NDD

Dafs. ‘08

Studied fine art at Kingston School of Art 1959 -1963. At that time college art courses were funded by government
(I had a grant of £6 per week) as it was hoped to produce a great British artist in the steps of Constable/Turner/Sargeant/Spencer, etc.

After 1963 this policy was dramatically reversed and many London art schools had to close, including Kingston. I obtained the National Diploma of Design, but did not follow an artistic career.

Instead I developed office skills and worked in insurance, then had two sons. When they were at school I had a part time job at Penge, in the Holdsworthy factory where the Holdsworth racing cycles were manufactured, before joining St. George’s Hospital Medical School, working for the Professor of Geriatric Medicine.

Now, finally retired, I am again redeveloping my artistic skills and hoping to thrill.
