Avril Sleeman was born and brought up in Croydon where she attended |

Paints landscapes and architectural studies in watercolour, but mainly concentrates on colour and monochrome etching, on a variety of subjects, which she produces at Bromley Adult Education Centre in Widmore Road. |

|
She organises a group of artists called ‘Mixed Media’ who exhibit regularly at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon and is an Associate Member of the Society of Feline Artists. |
|
|
|
Although cats feature regularly in her work it is landscape that is her abiding passion. So much so that whilst completing a Masters Degree in 2007 in Rights of Way and Countryside Management her dissertation was on ‘How art informs our view of landscape’.......a wonderful excuse to spend two years researching landscape art history! |
