Pat Franco, NDD |
|
Born in London, she studied at Hammersmith College of Art, where she later taught textile design and printing. After living and working in France for three years where she practised free-lance commercial art, she returned to England where she resumed teaching adults. At the same time, she turned to portrait painting, both in oils and pastels, her pastel subjects being mainly children and animals. She feels that the softness of the pastel medium is perfect for depicting both of them, and in the past twenty years has painted over four hundred pastel portraits. |
